About the NLP Tool.
What Dzongkha NLP is, how the models were trained, and what to know before relying on its output.
Dzongkha NLP is a bidirectional Dzongkha ↔ English machine translation system built on Meta’s NLLB model. The translation model was fine-tuned on a parallel corpus of approximately 700,000 sentences. The Dzongkha text-to-speech (TTS) system was trained on a smaller specialised corpus.
All training data was provided by the Department of Culture and Dzongkha Development (DCDD). We are continuously improving these models as more high-quality corpora become available.
Install the app
Dzongkha NLP installs straight to your device like a native app — added to your home screen or dock and launched full-screen. No App Store or Play Store needed.
Caution while using the model
This translation system is currently intended for testing purposes only. While the quality of general translation is significantly better than existing Dzongkha translation systems, it may still contain errors and inaccuracies.
We advise users to verify the output and consult human experts where critical or official accuracy is required.
